	I am trying to let our Monday evening BYT group know what the plan is for tonight. If Tom or the other person that opens BYT (I am sorry, I forget your first name) could let me know here, then I can either let the riders know to hold tight for an update later today if it might open, or just see who can go to Sherman or Poston instead, neither of which are easy to get to after work and have enough time to ride before dark. 	Bob is going to make that call around 2 today. I live out past sherman and you see how far of a drive for me to make that call. Big meeting tonight at Queens university complex about greenway Going through property at 6 tonight. If Bob keeps it closed try to make the meeting. We need all the riders we can get to show up. Getting another friend of mine to join in on the opening and closing thing just have to go get more keys made.

	Drive around the back of MD and it is the conference center at the middle complex at 6. The one with the big lion at the entrance.This is about the greenway from park road shopping center to the BYT/MD/PRP then down little sugar creek into starmount. It will also include the parking lot on the FB side and will also show you what trails will be affected and where the bridges that cross the creek are going. This is a big meeting.

	Would it look better or worse if we were showing up on our bikes? This sounds like the scene from Footloose where Kevin Bacon is trying to convince to board to allowing dancing I know everyone really wants to ride, so I don't know about talking them in to this, but I will do what I can. Can we sign something in support of it?

	Show up anyway you like. Not shure about a sign up sheet. If you have concerns about this project you should go. Like I said this is a very deal. This is also probably the only meeting they will have about this. I tried to get out of work for this or come in late but no go. I've been waiting on this for 25 years. Its also the master plan for the thread trail I believe.

	I'm on in foot in the BYT right now. It is very wet in some spots and will stay closed today. It will open tomorrow weather permitting. Dang there are green worms crawling all over me.

	The meeting was very well attended. Well over 100 people. Saw a bunch of bikers including Jim, Jack and Bart. Basically the greenway construction will begin next spring and will last about a year. There will be some trail disruption but hopefully it will be minimal. I have a meeting set up between the club and the project manager sometime this summer. P&R has stated that they want to preserve our trails as much as possible but there are many things that will drive final trail layout. Even if we lose a little trail having all three sections linked with good parking options will be a big win. It looks like the greenway may get built in our lifetimes after all.
