Anyone ridden one of these?  I'm looking for an unbreakable long travel 29er (for the mtns, not local) and have a line on a pretty good deal on one.   I've just never heard a whole lot about them.  I can't imagine they climb all that well, but that's not really what I am looking for anyway.

I have been lusting after the Covert or Bandit 29 as my next FS bike. You would be correct assuming that the Covert wouldnt climb well (compared to a XC bike), but Im sure from the setup and geometry that it absolutely rips going down. My Nomad has similar specs (smaller wheels) and it climbs ok...but point it down and hang on!

I wouldnt want to do 50 miles in Pisgah on it but if your wanting to do more gravity oriented stuff and shorter mountain rides, I dont think you would be disappointed with the Covert.
