I have a white deer near me (close to FJB), has become quite a celebrity.  More than cool.

That white deer was chilling in the empty lot at the corner of Weddington and Pleasant Plains one evening and brought traffic to a halt.  It was very cool.

I caught up to him last year...funny looking little guy.  I think up near DuPont there is an area that is well known for these.

I got a really terrible picture of him Sunday. I didn't think it was going to be too bad, but I hadn't put my glasses on when I took it. There's a vaguely whitish bit of fuzz in amongst the rest of the fuzz.

The white deer stopped showing up after folks decided to try and get close up photos.  Sightings have gone from daily to now over two weeks since the last time I've seen it / the group of deer it hangs out with.

Saw it today at Sherman. It's a pretty laid back squirrel. I walked off the trail to get a good pic and it didn't seem too freaked out. It just moved away a little but didn't scamper up a tree like most do.
