New berm on Monbo

Just wanted t o suggest a new berm be built at that spot about 2/3 through Monbo where we come over some roots at a tree base (which gives you an up lift) and transitions into a sharp downhill right turn.  It looks as though a lot of people are missing the turn and sooner than later...A nice stacked timber berm might keep people from "accidentally" cutting a new line down to where the trail meets up again. Out of sheer survival necessity, of course. Just sayin'  Wink

808Golden, I'm not really familiar with where you're talking about, but can build one with rocks and dirt. I'll check it out Tuesday while I'm there. Do you have any idea of the sign number?
Mike.

Is it a necessity in both directions?

I will try to get out today and make a note of where this spot is. I'll flag the area.  Thx for the response Mike!

I rode Monbo this afternoon and didn't have any trouble at all in that turn. I could see where others had about missed it. I'll check it to see how I can make a banked turn and still have good drainage. I wouldn't want water standing there making a mess. I can see how someone could have trouble if their not in control of their bike. I love being off work during the week(can't wait to retire!!). I took the day off to help the state make a video for the 100 year anniversary of state parks coming in 2016.

You asked for it, you got it!! I made a banked turn in the trail right after sign #16 on Monbo today. I also covered those roots at the tree and made a little kicker there. If you are carrying some speed, you will be air born. You can still go around it on the right. The little jump is close to the tree. I rode it three times and is really works well and is lots of fun. Hope you enjoy it!
Mike.

Sweet Mike!  I can't wait to ride it.  Actually saw you out this morning on the connector trail.  Thanks again!

Rode the section yesterday and it is great!  That kicker sends you, just don't hit it too hard!  You'll get a fly over view of that sweet new berm!  Thx again BBM!

That Berm is perfectly placed, I did not realize what spot we were talking about reading this, but now I get it.

Great job, thank you
