Steve,
Just saw what you're working on at the bottom of the Big Plunge!  Who needs a bridge anyway!!!  RRT just keeps getting better and better.  Thanks--looking forward to some fresh air!

Working on this as a request from a frequent rider. This isn't my type of feature to build so be very cautious and look well before you leap. I'm just a humble single track builder this type of thing makes me a little nervous.

Let me know when it is ready and whoever is gonna hit it.  I have the camera, and may try it next.  I mean its not like you wont have enough speed.

I just checked Strava and I am pretty sure I am 20+ mph at the bottom of that hill.

I'm gonna stand at the top and just release my bike to take the plunge and jump all on its' own.  I figure it'll be like getting a good read on a putt before I decide that I don't like to golf.

I pulled the bucket.  Wired the logs together, added more soil, packed it in good as I can. Looks like it's a long way down to it from the top. Going to come at you mighty fast. Please be CAUTIOUS that's why I put in a really wide bridge at that spot.

It's not going to do it justice.  I haven't seen the finished product, but I know the "gap" it is spanning and how fast you are going when you hit that bridge.

Any change you installed one of these?

I mean just in case, if I get to the bottom to look at it I am not going to be very motivated to push back to the top of that hill.

Trying to get back up that hill would be brutal in bicycle shoes.

Well I guess you could just cut over do No Name to the second switchback and cut across to the Plunge Grin

That jump will be gnarly just because of the speed and the angle. That's a trip over the bars just waiting to happen if you're not careful.

Steve, did you check out that potential reroute I was talking about shortly before the plunge after the 2 small jumps and the big one? It would be awesome with a big S berm that goes left at the first tree and cuts right before the second one and then gradually up the hillside to keep the flow going. I'd be more than happy to come give you a hand.

Shredder I have looked at it just haven't made a decision. There are some really huge roots on the right side of those trees that evidently is why I chose to stay on the uphill side. We'll get together out there and look it over.

Great work not the new bridges through the second "wet" section. Thanks Steve. I was the one tonight yelling and screaming down the plunge on my yelli screamy tonight. Like a girl. Cheesy
