Has anyone been out to North Meck today to see if it is rideable? I called LNSP and was told to check back tomorrow

Hey Mtnjax, just came back from NM and it is a mess. It rained and hailed the other night and there are trees, limbs and leaves on the trail. I am going to open the trail because it doesn't matter to some riders if it's close, they ride anyway. There was a tree down below the first drop, one after the bridge at the old car, one on the large bridge at the creek and one at the top of the hill after the creek bridge. I was there all day and will try to finish cleaning the trail tomorrow. Go ride if you want to. The water was out of the banks again, but the bridge didn't move.

Thanks for the update, Mike. I'm going to wait until tomorrow before heading anywhere so maybe some of this sun and warmth will finish the job. I got my riding fix by just doing some laps around my apartment complex

I'll be back at NM this morning to continue the cleanup of the trail, so if anyone has a few hours to lend me a hand, it would be appreciated. Just bring a rake and a pair of loppers if you have them. I'll be heading toward the big bridge, so join me if you can. Thanks in advance, Mike.

If you haven't ridden NM since Saturday evening, the trail has been moved back where it was many moons ago after the old rusty car and the slanting bridge. Be aware of the sand in the turns and the debris on the trail where I haven't cleared the trail yet. I should be finished later this week!

Thanks for all you do also! I can't wait to retire. That place I work at thinks they own you. They want you to do stuff for free and you know that don't pay any bills.

Rode it tonight for the first time in a year or so and the trail is perfect. N. Meck defines "flow" in Char-Meck. Only place where a properly placed 8 inch lip can get you 15-20 feet of horizontal air (the ledge at the top of the first downhill). I like the little humps you can launch off throughout the trail too - they are perfectly conceived and executed. Thank you for all your hard work out there brother.

I was there riding also. I needed a break to let my old body rest a bit. I was back working tonight and almost made it to the creek. It was getting dark and didn't want to get locked in, so I hiked out. Hope to finish tomorrow night.

NM is open and in good shape. Maybe a little tacky in spots, but not muddy.
I was there last night clearing drains and there was a box turtle laying eggs in a hole beside the trail she had just made.
Let's hope for no rain this afternoon!

The trail was in good shape last night and this morning, but the rain changed that. I work in Concord and didn't know it had rained until I went to NM to work. I put tape across the entrance and exit for those that never read the forum. I'm sorry you went to ride and the trail was horrible. There were those riding this evening that didn't care what condition the trail was in. Some riders don't do trail work and have no idea what kind of effort it takes to keep trails in good condition.

I live in concord and didn't know it rained either. I was very surprised with how well that place drains. I don't understand how riders even like to ride muddy trails. Takes all the fun out of it.  I was hoping u would close it.

I went ahead and open the trail. Nobody cares about the trail anyway. 24hr. rule must not apply to NM. I had the entrance taped off, did not mean anything to the riders this morning. The trail is still wet in areas, but I guess that doesn't matter to some. Nuff said!!
