TIMING SYSTEM:

Rider Timing Information:

Each Rider will be required to obtain and return timing chips for the Pisgah Enduro. Each rider will be given 2 timing chips, one Sport Ident Air (Flying Finish) card and one Sport Ident P-Card, preprogrammed with the individual rider’s information (name, class, and age).

Failure to return timing chips will result in a $200 replacement charge and a disqualification from the event..

Timing Chip placement

Sport Ident Air (Flying Finish) Card Placement:

Each rider will be given a Sport Ident Air (Flying Finish) Card in order to capture your finish time for each finish stage of the Pisgah Enduro. You will be required to place this timing chip on your left wrist as the Flying Finish readers will be on the left hand side of the finish.

Sport Ident P-Card Placement:

Each rider will also be given a Sport Ident P-Card which will be velcroed to the left side of your handle bars. Recommended placement is between the stem of your bike and the brake lever. Please make sure that the P-Card is secured tightly so you do not lose. A race volunteer will scan the P-Card at the finish of each stage.

How the Timing System works

On Saturday once you depart the shuttle bus you will be required to scan your Sport Ident Air Card (located on your left wrist) which will activate your timing chip and allow your times to be recorded. If you do not activate the Sport Ident Air card on departure of the bus your Stage times WILL NOT BE RECORDED.

At the Start of each Stage, a volunteer will be present to scan your Sport-Ident Air Card and P-Card with a Remote Reader to start timing your Stage Run. Your Sport-Ident Air Card will flash RED a couple of times, Beep and flash GREEN. Thus your time has been stamped to your Sport-Ident Air Card. Your Sport-Ident P-Card will also make the Remote Reader Beep and flash.

At the Finish of each Stage, your Sport Ident Air Card will be recorded via a wireless reader located on the left hand side of the finish. After passing the start of the finish where the wireless reader is located your Sport-Ident Air Card will flash RED and Beep then flash Green to record the time. You will also be given a 50ft-75ft run-out where a volunteer will be waiting to scan your Sport-Ident P-Card. You must come to a complete stop in order for volunteer to scan your Sport-Ident P-Card.

Upon completion of the Saturday Pisgah Enduro Stages you will return your Sport Ident Timing Chips to the timing table in order to calculate results from Saturdays Stages.

On Sunday you will obtain the same timing Sport Ident Air Card and P-Card you used for Saturday and we will activate upon receipt. You will repeat the above process again on Sunday.

COURSE MARKING:

The course will be clearly marked. Timed sections will be marked with a combination of Orange Pisgah Productions tape, White and Red Kenda tape, Yellow arrows, and Yellow wrong-way signs.

Untimed sections will be marked primarily with Orange Pisgah Productions tape. Three pieces of tape marking turns and one piece of tape confirming turns.

Thanks again for registering for the 2014 Pisgah Enduro! We look forward to seeing old friends making new ones this weekend!

Been up on that side of Pisgah quite often but never climbed up heartbreak. That's gonna hurt! Should be some nice views going up! When going down heartbreak dont fall off the left side. You may not stop for a little while.
