Rocky stopped by my house to check on my cats...when he came outside 5mins later the Frankenbike was stolen... so if you wanna be on the lookout...that would be awesome..

One better... who's got some parts laying around? Anything you wanna throw in we can build a new Frankenbike...anyone got a small 29er frame? Rigid fork laying around? Wheels or just rims? Need to get rocky back on the road and ESP since it is his commuter bike...

That blows I hate it when people heist peoples bikes or steal parts off them. 

That's why I always lock up mu bikes with a 3.5 ft of logging chain. I've lost a key before and the cops showed up before I got through the chain using a angle grinder with a cutting disk.  Seemed pretty secure to me, took about 15 minutes to get through the huge links.

Thanks fourmat for the pic...I put it all over FB but can't upload on here from my phone and I'm out of town... I don't really live in a sketch part of town...actually within a half mile of the police academy... I would say the most likely scenario is some punk kid took it as it is not a highly trafficked area/street... if I were home I'd get a whorde of riders and knock on every door in the neighborhood... maybe there are some parents willing to open their garages and check... other than that I don't think there's much that can be done..

I'm pretty sure "whorde" was a typo for "horde." But considering the subject (bike thievin') the "whore" connotation was perfect. 

Sorry about your bike Rocky. Hope you get it back. Hope they cane the little s.o.b. when they catch him. That kind of bike won't go unnoticed long.

Eyes are open. I know a long time ago I saw a kid riding a bike that looked just like my daughter's bike. I got home and looked in the garage and.....sure enough the bike was gone. Never saw the kid or bike again. But I'll be looking. Sometimes it's someone just wanting a ride instead of walking and then they ditch the bike. Hopefully it gets found.

Check out the pawnshops in the area too, coulda been some junky knowing they could pawn it off and get a quick fix. My roommate had his bike stolen before we got together for about a week with some other friends and just posted up in busy areas and actually caught the guy riding the bike. We had to get a new wheel for it and the thief had a mangled face, but thats what happens when someone trys to run from you and you trow a broomstick in there wheel  Grin. Hope you find it though, also look for it out on trials, and wherever stupid kids are hanging out these days.
