Haha. Surely they could've found a better picture for Charlotte.

Never really thought of Charlotte as a "beer town". It has good breweries but so does (and should) almost every other medium to large town in the USA

Bank Town, Bum Town, Bojangles Town?...yes. Beer town? not yet...

For its size and sprawl it has some really great riding though.

Whys that guy gotta be ripping Beatty in the comments like that?!? Best trail in town!

Hahahahahahaha. I'd like to know what bike and beer Mecca you originally hail from. I'm getting ready to move up North and this article is making me sick to leave such a great local scene.

To each her own I guess.

Well OMB Fruh Bock, Birdsong Higher Ground IPA for starters. OMB copper is rated world class by the bros over at beer advocate. Not too shabby of a rating. But we also have the outliers like Duck Rabbit and Catawba Valley. Just a lot of great beers round here bro. That's all. Trails are well built to IMBA standards for the most part with loops that just make sense. There is a lot to be thankful for around here...or just hate on and take for granted.

I sense you are a PASA operative though so it's all good my friend.

i was never impressed with omb, i suppose i will give them another chance- maybe it was just the wrong beer.  birdsong is ok but imo nothing special.

im not gonna argue trails bc i do enjoy them just hard to call it mountain biking when the mountains are a decent drive away.  maybe the sport itself should be renamed  Huh Huh Huh  idk just throwing it out there

and im not sure why a pasa affiliation would mean anything?  i don't really know those guys but enjoyed poston the few times i been there

NoDa Jam Session is one of my all time favorites from anywhere, but just happens to be local.

personally im over the ipa fad.  maybe that makes me jaded in my assessment of local beers.  yeah they were cool 5 years ago they but now EVERYTHING these days is an ipa.  dont get me wrong i can appreciate a GOOD one from time to time but i cant wait for the beer makers to move on and start cranking out some high gravity stouts ya dig?

I can agree with this statement. Even though I also like Noda's Hop Drop and Roll. And IPAs are a fad if 29ers are a fad.
