I have a 114 year old house with the original wood siding that needs to be scraped and painted desperately. There is also a lot of rotted trim that needs to be replaced on the corners and around the windows. I am also considering taking all the old siding down, insulating, sheathing and wrapping with new siding. 

The 2nd option would be a big project on a very old house and I would want it done top notch.

Anyone have any experience in preservation or restoration of an old house?
