Union County is in the process of doing a comprehensive master plan for Parks & Recreation and would like some feedback from the public.  The Survey is open to anyone who would like to participate. Just follow the link and scroll down till you see the survey

Our doubts are traitors and make us lose the good we oft might win by fearing to attempt.

Done and done!

When I used to work there they were right on the edge of trying to increase trail users and promote mountain biking. TBH, the old Director (now Division Director) ruled with an iron fist and pretty much shot down anything having to do with mountain bikes (or anything that wasnt his idea). It was very difficult to get anything done.

The county recently restructured the departmental hierarchy and the new Director of Parks, Soil/water, AG Center, and Library is very open to trails and increasing users at Cane Creek (as well as elsewhere in the county).

She was in the process of making big, positive changes to Union County Parks and Rec. when I left and hopefully that has not changed.

Please take the time to fill out this survey to let her know exactly how you feel and what you would like to see at current and future Union County parks. As opposed to the previous Director, she actually cares and wants to make park users experiences great.
