first ride at Sherman.

Well it had been at least 6 months since I was on a trail and the first place I went was Sheman.. My Banshee Wraith was killer on the berms and on the hits and flowed really well through the trail but when it came to climbing, well , that is a different story. I have been riding my urban bike, The Frankenbike , for at least 6 months and figured it would help me get stronger and help my endurance. Strength was not a problem. Endurance seemed to be falling short though..The FB is a 29er hardtail and being a 29er I had fears that it would be hard to handle corners, I learned how to lean more into a corner and just power through them. Now when I got on my Banshee all the riding I have done on it payed off, except for the fact that it is a 26er and I love it more than I love the FB but it seemed a bit on the heavy side when it came time to climb little hills. I thought maybe it was the humidity or maybe it was the fact that I did not ride for so long on the trails but it was the weight. The Banshee Wraith is a DH Freeride bike. Some say it will make my leggs stronger to pedal like that but making no excusses I say different. I am going to have to find maybe a smaller set of tires for it to lighten up the load. All in all the Banshee floated over everything, the ladder drop, went through the berms like Dale Earnhardt on a Sunday race and hit all the hits like spreading butter on bread and cleaned the rock gardens on full throttle. Fully Stoked to get back out there . It was one of the best days I had. I figured I had blown my load right off the bat being so excited just to be back out in the woods and to ride with no cars or anything else that moved. It is always fun to follow someone who can ride and I followed Mills on his hardtail and that guy is a badd azz. He knows how to take the corners and knows how to hit the hits. Thank you Mills for the ride out there and thank you for the call...Now the next ride I think will be BYT for those tables...Ride a Bike...Just Sayin...

One more thing Big O'l Kudo's goes out to Jerry and all of you that worked on the trail, Oden is a genius for the berms and knows how to build great features. Some know how to work on them and some don't but the crew at BYT and Sherman are the best I know..Kronic is one of the best line seer's and knows exactly where to put a hit and Hubbs is the master of circles and crazy zig zag's. I need not forget about Mark Sullivan, Fisher is still the shiz nick and Banjopickin at Beatty is not to shabby minus the roots...now as Hubbs would say 'That is All'

I see no mention of 27.5, you're clearly missing all the fun.

Because that size clearly does NOT exist.  Perhaps you speak of 650b?  Wink

Betamax or VHS ?
HD DVD or blueray ?

I guess this technology will have to find its appropriate calling.

Either way- the rant is right-  Shred what you like - I still like my 26... but next will be 27.5!
