Another cracked frame - make some recommendations!

My beloved Kona Hei Hei 29er has a crack forming at the shock mount. Sadly, I'll have to retire it.

However, off that bike I have some nice wheels and crankset I would like to move to a new frame. Problem is I have old school quick release wheels, 1 1/8th straight steerer reba rlt, and GXP crankset.

Are there any current bikes out there that I can fit this gear too?

I've seen PF30 to GXP bottom bracket adapters. I'm fine with that.

I haven't seen many frames that will fit my 135mm qr rear wheelset. Are there adapters for the through axles?

Also, I'm not sure how a 1 1/8th straight steerer would work with the current tapered frames. I've seen the reducers, but having only 100mm travel from the reba has been something I want to change out anyway. So a newer fork is probably on the wishlist.

Anyway, just looking for some suggestions. Here is what I'm looking for in a frame.

18"(M) frame, 29" wheels, full suspension.
quick release compatible rear end (/w adapter?).
PF30 or 68/73mm standard threaded BB (to fit my GXP xx1 crankset).
CTD type rear shock, 100-120mm travel in the rear

Let me know what you guys recommend!

Thanks,

K

Don't let your old parts hold you back.  Just embrace the new standards.

What kind of wheels do you have?  Some wheels can be converted to 142 with adapters.  You can put a straight steerer fork in a tapered frame, you just have to use a different bottom head set bearing and race.  Some people opt to stay with a straight steerer anyway so if they want to sell it later, it fits more bikes.  A gxp crank works fine in a PF or BB30 frame, you just need the right bottom bracket.

The rims are stan's arch ex laced to aluminum body circus monkeys. As far as I can tell, there is no conversion for them. They are cheap and light, so not a lot of options. I'd probably keep the rims, and purchase another type of hub set. Chris King, Hope, and I9 are all WAAAAY out of my price range though. Looking for recommendations for that as well I guess.

Interested in the fork if it comes to a  complete part out  / upgrade scenario for ya.
1 1/8 steer may be the right length for my SS duty  and having  QR dropouts are perfect for my set!

Let me know !

I'll part out the fork, shock, and possibly the wheelset. The rest is going on a new frame.

I'll put something up on the market. I actually have a LOT of stuff I'd like to eliminate, so in a week or two.

Thanks for all the advice guys.
