Both show as open on the main page. Did they really dodge the storms or is that just a delay in closing them?

I am on my way up to pisgah but the nearest rain gauge to Beatty showed .15 inches of rain in the last 24 hours. If you get up there and you're leaving tracks in the Clay and  there is standing water around Bail. And let others know. Thx

I haven't closed RRT but didn't miss the rain had 3/4 " Thursday night and 3/8" last night. So conditions are very humid with wet roots and bridges. Other that that ok.

You guys got lucky.  Fisher had .80 inches Thursday night and almost 2.50 inches last night.

I live in Davidson and heard the rain several times overnight.

You know you are a MTB'er in Charlotte when you hear rain in the middle of the night and your first thought is that the trails are going to be closed tomorrow...

So, should I drive to RRT or Beatty today, that is the question...  45 min to RRT & 50 min to Beatty. You get spoiled having trails close, but we needed the rain up this way.

RRT was closer to  hero dirt, then it was wet.  1 standing puddle in a berm.  I rode the low sections and while they were a little slick they were not muddy and 100% rideable.

It was really humid, the air was retaining more moisture than the soil.

I just got done hiking Beatty because I wasn't sure what to expect. Trail is good to go so go ride it. Its bone dry with just some very slight dampness is one or two spots and that includes the black loops. Looks like it got very little rainfall.

I worked on Hawk and Hick's Creek at LNSP today and the trails were damp. Only one spot on Hick's that had standing water. I hope to finish Hick's tomorrow and continue working on Hawk. Anyone want to help, please pm me and I'll give you details. Mike.

Same. Rode it around 11:00 am and definitely was ride-able. At the time i started, I swear Beatty still said "Open" on the homepage. Some damp (if you even want to call it) spots throughout the trail, but was better than having dry sand. Didn't see any standing water.

I went for a run at Beatty late this morning and the main trail was completely dry.  Go ride and enjoy the nice cool weather.
