Mike Long and I have begun the bid process for starting a NICA series to NC. If you are not aware, NICA is a high school MTB racing  league. They are currently holding series in 13 states. If everything goes as planned, the earliest we could start racing is spring 2016. If you have any interest in assisting us with the process or would like to get involved is starting a team let us know. 
Areas we could use assistance are:
Getting 501.c.3 status.
Getting sponsorship. We need to raise a minimum of $10K to be considered.
Partnering with individual high schools, school districts, and private high schools.
People to be certified by NICA as team coaches.
