I don't get it...Are they suggesting you buy a 27.5 wheelset and mount these on a 29er?  Or are they intended to use on a 27.5 bike and make it a 29er?  I'm a bit confused....Why not just use a 29+ tire instead of buying a whole new wheelset....Now if it is just a big meat for a 27.5 and it will fit under a 27.5 fork then I might be in as a front tire for my 27.5 hard tail....

The idea is you can run a 27.5+ on your 29" frame fork as they are supposed to be about the same size (because of the bigger tire)

Two things will happen: 1. You will make the handling quicker/twitchier by using the smaller wheel on a frame and fork designed for a 29 inch wheel. 2. You will lower the BB below it's intended range which may make the bike handle a little better...if you keep the cranks at 3 and 6.  Otherwise you will have considerably more pedal strikes on the ground while pedaling in corners with possible disastrous results.  Read "Superman", "Broken collar bone", "Broken clavicle", "Geological Survey".

I absolutely swear that a 28 inch wheel would be the most ideal size EVER in mountain biking!

Havent you heard, Target is selling 28" wheels.  You are way late to the game.

I've only read one article on the 27.5+ tire, but I think certain widths have the same diameter as a 29x2.0 tire (or something like that), so technically it has the same diameter and handling as a 29er, but with a MUCH wider tire.

So, sort of a semi-fat bike/29er hybrid.
