WTB: RockShox or Fox Fork for 29er

I currently have a GT 29er bike, but has a regular spring loaded front shock (with lockout).  I love the bike, but would love to progress to a higher end front shock.  If you have a older style that you are no longer using and would fit my 29er, please send me a private message with style and price.  Thanks, John

Straight or tapered steerer tube? Do you want a thru axle?

I have a GT Karakoram Sport 29er, not sure, but here are the spec's on the fork and frame

fork:SR Suntour XCT-MLO w/100mm Travel, 29", Steel Stanchions, Aluminum Leg, Post Mount Disc Brake, Mechanical Lockout, QR

frame:29" Hydroformed 6061 T6 Aluminum Frame, w/ Triple Triangle ¨, Replaceable Derailleur Hanger, Disc Brake Mounts, and Zerostack 1 1/8" Head Tube

I am new to this, but just know that there are better forks out there, if you have something that will fit, please pm, thanks.

That bike takes a straight steer I believe.  It also has a quick release front wheel.

PM's responded to.  Thanks everyone for the help.  I will learn all of this lingo soon but I do believe that Yellow Duck is correct, it is a straight tube with a quick release axle.

Still looking for a fork (29er).  The ones pm'ed I believe we have figured out are not long enough.  The frame where the steerer tube goes is 5 1/2 inches (XL bike) and the tube needs to be 8 inches.

If you have something just send me a PM.  Thanks, John

Pinkbike is usually a good source.  I will help you install for a few beers!   Cool

Recently cracked the frame on this bike, so now I've got a Lefty and stout wheelset to go with it, if you're interested in a serious suspension/wheel upgrade. Haven't officially posted it up for sale yet, but I plan to ask $400 for the Lefty and $250 for the wheels.  FYI, that front tire is the one I PM'd you about.
