Trails Near Charleston, SC???

Hey All... Headed to Isle of Palms, SC this week for a work event. The good news is that I'll have at least one afternoon free to do a little riding.

I did some looking online and found two trails nearby and wanted to see if anyone had any experience riding them... One is Wannamaker and the other is Marrington.

They are only a few miles apart and from what I read online seem similar - except for the length of the trails - Marrington is a longer ride.

Anyone ridden these? Thoughts? Suggestions?

Thanks!!!

They're both a lot of fun considering they're in the low country.  I think I prefer Marrington, it has more miles plus scenery and lots of wildlife.   Wannamaker is pretty decent too.

Watch out for horseflies at Marrington. Hopefully it is getting too cold for them. Darn things will chase you although it is good motivation to keep up the pace.

MArrington is fun. Fast, rooty-tooty, but flat. More mileage at Marrington.

Thanks for all the advice guys!

I actually made the time to ride both Marrington and Wannamaker.

Had a great time on both trails - but Marrington is far and away the more fun option. Unless you're looking for a VERY elementary trail, I don't even know why you'd bother with Wannamaker.

Meanwhile, despite the low-country terrain the builders at Marrington did an outstanding job of building in some great flowy features and the lake the trail loops made for some nice scenery.

Thanks again for all the input!
