Just read about a pair of cyclists hit by a car in Waxhaw yesterday.  Based upon the time / location I'm wondering if they were doing the Plantation ride out of Matthews?

Sad story. Hope they both make a quick and speedy recovery.

Waxhaw has seen a boom in weekend warriors hitting the roads around town. The combination of twisty narrow roads and way too many people driving them is a bad recipe. I hope everyone riding down there keeps their eyes and ears open.
