IMBA’s Instructor Certification Program is coming to the Southeast! 
Are you looking to run guided rides, lead clinics, or just have more ways to interact with your local riders?   
The Instructor Certification Program (ICP) is holding two final Level 1 certification courses for 2014: November 21-23rd in Columbus GA and December 12-14th in Marietta SC.
Our new Level 1 course is 2.25 days long and now includes an introduction to instruction. ICP’s Instructor Trainers will be taking the group through training and testing on the following topics:
•      Risk management
•      Leadership
•      The ten fundamentals of mountain biking
•      Guiding
•      Group management
•      Pre-tour skill assessment
•      Instruction principals
•      Safety and etiquette
Registration for our Georgia event closes on November 5th so register now!

Yea, it is not inexpensive. This Level 1 instruction mostly teaches all the basics in how to lead rides or clinics. It now includes an intro to teaching riding techniques (preliminary to Level 2 and 3). There's even a test(s), that a reasonable percentage will not pass.

Its serious stuff - not for the day tripper but those interested in getting serious, credentialed teaching training. I haven't taken the course but I'll bet you get what you pay for.
