Signal Hill Trail Work

Hey ya'll.  I'm starting this thread to put out information regarding trail work days at Signal Hill.  We will also be posting pictures in this thread of trail work to get ya'll stoked to come ride.

For those who don't know, Evan St. Clair is the trail coordinator at Signal Hill, he isn't on the forums much so I'll help facilitate information as I can.

Here are some pics of the work we just finished up on the pump track.

The track is too big to get it all in one shot so you will just have to come out and see for yourselves!

Evan has a bunch of fall/winter projects planned for the single track which include replacing bridges and other improvements here and there to help accentuate the technical nature of this trail.  Stay tuned to this thread so you can come out and help keep Signal Hill rolling fresh.

To get to the pump track, do you just ride through the regular trail or is at the front or rear of it?

Looks like a lot of work, tell him we appreciate it.  I live in the Cornelius area and will be on my list of places to go on a weekend.

John,

You ride the first part of the trail and it will take you by a field (the old landfill).  Once you reach the back of the field you will see the pump track in the field.  It's pretty big, can't miss it Smiley

I live in Cornelius too, it's only a 25 min drive up 77.  We ride the pumptrack on Sundays.

Man that is some serious work going on with the pump track. It looks like it is going to be a first class job.

Do what you like. Stop hating people for their riding habits and get back to hating them for their skin color, religion, politics, and sexual orientation.

Evan and Nate did some great bridge replacement work on Friday.

Next up is a long section of bridge that we will likely need some help on.  We will post up a workday on this thread.  I think you can click on the images to make them bigger.
