That's what they're saying. The last time we had a workday with REI, there were a ton of volunteers and we got a lot of trail covered. I don't know how many folks we'll have this time, but I'm just going on what happened last time. If the weather is good, I hope everyone brings their bikes and ride after work.

Saturday, December 6
10:00am - 12:00pm
REI Charlotte
Join REI and our partners at Lake Norman State Park and the
Tarheel Trailblazers for our last volunteer trail workday of 2014! It may be chilly, but it will be worth it! Our partners will provide all project direction and tools. REI will have work gloves, water, and snacks available and will provide an REI 2014 Stewardship T-Shirt and REI water bottle for each volunteer to take home!

At this point the workday is still a go.  Its pretty much rain or shine.  I would recommend bringing a rain jacket though.

I just want to thank REI and all the volunteers that came out on a dreary day to work on the trails. We had 10 volunteers today and lots of trail got cleared. Thanks again folks!

I cleared a few drains on Laurel Loop this morning. I finished raking the leaves and clearing drains on the Norwood Creek Loop. I then started clearing leaves and drains on Monbo Loop. The leaves have been cleared on Norwood and the trail from the parking lot to the entrance to Norwood Loop. Part of Monbo and Hawk have been cleared, but not all. I hope they open the trails tomorrow, so you can ride if you're not working!
