We had a fellow biker who was struck on his road bike on Monday evening. He had lights front and rear along with reflective clothing. The driver still said he never saw him. He was struck by the driver going between 45 to 50 mph. He is ok and is going to recover but was very lucky it wasnt any worse or he was even killed. So people please be careful as you can on the roads! You will not win against a car. It will be quite a while till he can ride a bike or walk like the rest of us. I really don't won't to visit any more of my friends in the hospital over something like this. The one good thing is that the driver stopped to help. We all know how rare that is like spotting a unicorn or that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow thing. Heal fast my friend!! Im going to take my chances in the woods hitting a tree or kissing the ground or running into a tree with Bart again. Rocky you please be careful. I know you have had a few close calls.

No it was not me but I am slowing my role a little bit.  The guy that got hit I know to and he needs more prayers. He is deffinatley one of the good guys. Like Scott said, take it easy out there. One goes down we all go down, that easy. I have noticed more and more traffic building in our city and it is not all holiday drivers. If you have lights or a phone that can record your ride, more like a Go Pro put it on and protect yourselves if you have to go to court. Accidents due happen and sometimes we are to blame . Just remember , The best reaction is no reaction for the cars and trucks, we have that covered. Stay focused ahead of you and behind you and ride with others if you have to. I am guilty of a lot but now I know it is time to play it smart and just enjoy the ride IN THE WOODS where white squirrels and deer are the only thing I fear next to trees that decide they wanna just grow there...Once again pray for our boy..He helped with the Pipe Dream . Ride a Bike..
