Only 1/100 inch so far at Fisher since the 16th. Go ride. The meadows under the power lines will be sloppy but GO RIDE.

Anyone know the conditions at Lake Norman?  It's an hour drive and kinda risky today.  Then again I can always just drink beer at Ultimate Ales if it's closed.  But I'd like to ride first, any info from anyone up that way is appreciated.

Thanks!

I just finished at Beatty, it was tacky but very ridable.  Only a few wet spots in the normal places.  The sloped sections just before the big log roll over was probably the wettest section on the whole trail.

I second what Rob said. My daughter is in from college and wanted to get out on the bike today so we hit Sherman this afternoon and it was in awesome shape.  If I didn't witness the rain this morning myself it would be hard to believe it rained based on trail conditions.

LNSP was  great today, but not many riders. I finished Mombo today and started on Hawk. As of today, Norwood Creek, Mombo and at least half of Hawk has been cleared. I'll start back on Hawk early in the morning.

Thankyou. Spent hours with a leaf blower. Glad it was not in vain. Smiley

two questions...

WHY WAS WWC CLOSED ALL WEEKEND??????

also... why did someone feel the need to blow the majority of leafs off the trails at Fisher?

I don't understand this horrible fear of leafs around here.  The sections at fisher where they haven't deleafed the trail were fantastic..

Stupid.. stupid stupid..

Two things:

1. "Leaves"
2.  Trail coordinators make the leaf blowing call for a number of reasons, some of which involve keeping traffic on the trails during the winter, trail preservation, and rider safety. And trust me, they don't make the decision lightly - it's a heck of a lot easier for them to let the leaves sit on the trails then to spend hours of their time (during the holidays,  no less) clearing the trails, just so internet quarterbacks can second guess them and call them (and their volunteers) stupid.
