BYT very wet.

Went out for a walk today to see how muddy it is and standing water all over the place along with water still running across the trail. The drains that were cleared are doing their job. I think that we will keep it closed for a couple of days. It needs to dry out some. I am going out to work on a few drains tomorrow to move the water off the side of the trail in a few places. Just to break up the flow instead of one drain handling all the water. If you would please stay off trail for a few days it will need it. The fire station down the street got over an inch of rain. Thank you for not riding when it's this wet. If anyone would like to come out and move some mud I will be at the FB enterance around 10 Sunday morning.

We went out today and put on a few drains with the machine and by hand to try and get water of the old motorcycle track. Looks like some big long berms are in order. Thanks Josh for coming out and running the machine today. We walked around some to look and see where we might be able to throw some more jumps and 2 large drops in. The trail is still very wet in places and will take a little more time to dry out. Thanks also for not riding it today. Saving us lots of work time so we can put in the fun stuff. Look for trail workdays. We will need some help with 2 more large and long berms (shaping/tamping) and jumps (shaping/tamping). Will keep it closed a few more days. No joke about the water still draining and lots of mud. Just checked the weather looks like more rain might roll through tonight/early morning.

I went out for another walk to check it out and it is still muddy in places. But we decided to open it anyway. Still running water in one place. The trails that are in the shade still muddy and poo dirt is soft. We need sun! If anyone goes out to ride tell us if it to muddy/soft and should be closed. Like Big Bike Mike said, Its that time ov year again. On a side note the greenway meeting went well lots of bikers and people in general. Thanks to those of you who came out and to Crank Mafia also.

Thanks. I decided to do bike maintenance yesterday instead of riding and am hitting up Beatty this morning. I haven't been there in 2.5 years.
