Details on our homepage, but I plan on being out there every Saturday in February unless we finish the last loop before then.

Status of the work in case anyone cares...

Only a small amount of grubbing out saplings left on the entrance and exits of the two bridges as we cross the creek and connect the two loops, which I still need to flag out.

Lots of raking and benching remains on the second loop.

Build two bridges with Cyclepath's help that the school will provide funding/materials.

Haul in a couple yards of material similar to ABC/crusher run to armor flat areas around the bridges, and also a few soft spots.

Rake a couple flat areas on first loop that the school plans to use as outdoor classrooms, and also think about how to make a short loop for the physically challenged kids so they can use the trail too.

Get land manager approval to open up second loop and let the kids start riding.

If wintry mix hits today/tonight I'll cancel Saturday's trail work and take off homepage.

Last week's stuff is just now completely melting today, so those side slopes we need to rake and bench will be a hot mess.

May join the power tool fun at Fisher on Sunday instead.

Had a couple folks ask if I'd go ahead with trail work since it's going to be way below freezing tonight and tomorrow morning, so thought I'd post up why I'm still canceling and going to use my trail pass to help Marky Mark at Fisher on Sunday instead.

Work tomorrow would be lots of benching and raking and kinda darned if I do darned if I don't on whether it warms up and melts or it's freezing. Trail really doesn't get sun until afternoon, so if 3-4 inches of snow we got melts today it's a sloppy mess where you'll be cleaning mud off tools more than building.

Temp forecast has it about 22 degrees when I would get to the trail and only getting to 30 by noon when I finish. All the moisture out there right now benching would be like chipping ice that's flying in your face with little results, and raking frozen organic matter will suck just as bad.

Hopefully next Saturday we'll be back on.
