Free trail access at Cane Creek Park

Cane Creek Park in Waxhaw, NC has removed the Trail Access Fee forever. No more pay to enter the park AND pay to ride. Its all covered under the entrance fee (along with many other things) so please go and shred some new (to you if you've never been there) trail. When I was a Park Ranger there I could get in a solid 12-14 mile ride after work on empty trails. No one rides there and its like having a trail system all to yourself. Outside of Steve's, WWC, and URE... CCP has some of the better climbs in the area.

Please go ride... My KOM's need to broken!! (until the next time I come down the mountain  Cheesy)

If you live in the Rock Hill, Fort Mill, Waxhaw, Monroe, Weddington area and want a new(to you) trail to ride check out Cane Creek Park in Waxhaw, NC.

Also... Plenty of camping, fishing, picnicing, nature tours, canoeing, etc.... If you dont visit, Santa Clause will quit coming to your house...

Do it now!!

Yearly entrance passes available as well...

Good to hear!  I never had a chance to check it out when I lived in Waxhaw for a few months, but I'm still not a very far drive.

How long is a single lap?  Trail page doesn't say (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)

There isnt a set "lap"

The trails are broken down into multiple mini loops and connector trails...

My post work ride started in the campground but I rode pretty much everything once and some things twice... here goes...

Starting in the Day Use Area (off of Harkey Rd,)

-Ride Purple trail to Campround
-continue to intersection with Campground Red trail and take a right/left to complete Red loop (decent climbs/descents either direction)
-Enter back onto the Purple and continue until intersection with Campground Blue, take a right.
-Take right or left on Green trail, doesnt matter makes one big loop.
-Enter back onto Blue Trail and go right onto Purple Trail towards the Day Use Area.
-Go across the park entrance road onto the Day Use Red Trail.
-Take the left entrance to the Day Use Red Trail.
-Ride the entire Day Use Red Trail until the intersection of the Day Use Orange is on you right (not left).
-Take right onto Day Use Orange and ride until intersection of Day Use Red (you passed this earlier)
-Ride Day use Red until intersection with Day Use Blue Trail and take a right onto Day Use Blue Trail.
-Take a right at intersection with Day Use Red Trail and ride the short section you already rode once.
-Finish out on Day Use Red back to parking lot.

This is around 13-14 miles or so.

If you want to skip the Day Use Orange/Blue option for about 3/4 of a mile less.

All trails are multi-directional. Yearly entrance passes are available as well... Worth it if you live nearby.

***Watch out for SCOTT_T out there Grin
