WTB: Tray style hitch rack

I'm looking to buy a hitch bike rack made for a 2 inch receiver. I'm interested in the rack style that holds the bike using the front tire. Please PM me with what you have.

Thanks!

Nice rack and you can buy an adapter for the 2" receiver.

Criticalmass, that is a great rack that you have. I'm concerned that there will be too much sway from having an adapter. Sad

Going from a 2" receiver to a 1 1/4" shouldn't create a lot of sway, going the other way will(personal experience).

This is true. The adaptor he's speaking of is a sleeve that goes around the 1-1/4" hitch to fit the 2" hole. Assuming the hole on the 1-1/4" rack is threaded, the bolt will pull it tight.

Thanks for the input. Can you share a link for the adapter you're talking about? The ones I've found look like almost an extension that held in place by a normal pin.

I don't know if this is the right one, but it's just one that came up on Google. But it's the style I'm talking about. It's a sleeve that fits around the 1-1/4 rack tongue within the 2" hitch. Assuming the tongue is threaded, the bolt pulls it tight against the inside of the hitch so there's no wobble. There's no increase in length like the one you were looking at.

My hitches have always come with the adaptor when I bought them; I never tried to buy one. A bike shop may be able to help you get the right one for your rack.

Thanks for the help, again. I bought criticalmass's rack and used a sleeve type reducer. Seems to work well so far.
