Please, can we have a little serenity?

Between work, bills, raising kids, (BTY mine are all adults now) and many other things we live a life full of STRESS.
If you watch the 6:00 news it’s pretty much about killing, steeling and destroying the peace and tranquility in our lives.
So how do we deal with all this STRESS?
For me sometimes it’s a run at the WWC, a  ride at Sherman or hiking Crowder’s Mountain. Sometimes with my dog, sometimes with friends and sometimes it’s just me but regardless it’s always about enjoying the great outdoors that God has so richly blessed us with.
Unfortunately even that seems to be slipping away. I have seen several posts on FB and on TTB form about people not controlling their dogs and / or themselves on the trails and in parks. Some have found it necessary   to carry a gun while running or ridding. After a few run ins with dogs I even found myself carry spray.
So I guess my question is: “can we have a little serenity?”
I think so but it has to start with me.
Maybe I need to give that other person a little more room to pass,
Maybe I need to smile a little more,
Maybe I need to control my dog a little better, and make sure I clean up after him.
Maybe I need to …
Because after all that “other person” may be looking for a little serenity too.
Be Blessed

Agreed!! --- continue the peaceful disconnect at home, not just the Mtn hike or bike away. --  Dont watch the news... Local reporting is horrible - Unplug from cable ( its nothing but garbage), and you may already have...

Take down that antenna. Work to make your life what u want and live in the glory that you can make it... Dont let others wear you down and cause you to change yourself.

I still like to know whats goin on news wise, and a quick internet browse will catch you up fast, but decide your own outlets to not be pressured into the stress of the capture

Oh Boy - 2016 Elections already in the mix - Wheres the opt out button?

I turned the news off years ago  I just hit the internet for a few minutes most mornings.

I have never watched Seinfeld. Maybe I could find some serenity there?????? Maybe not but that is one funny video

You have a whole world ahead of you... I suggest you begin with "The Soup Nazi" and move to the "Summer of George."  You will then be hooked... not that there's anything wrong with that!
