Rode for the first time today and think it is really nice work. Good flow and climbing opportunity. Great addition to the trail system!

Wait, what's the east main?  I thought there was North and South.  Am I missing something?

Nice I'll have to check it out. I've been skipping it. with the changes they are making to the end of the parking lot it doesn't tie into the rest of the trails all that nicely.

The East Main Extension is the first of many new miles of trail to come in that direction.  New property was acquired over the last year stretching up the Parkway toward Belmeade Rd, and we are currently in the planning stages of a much more extensive expansion.  The new loop is just scratching the surface of what is to come eventually.

The East Main Extension adds 1.1 miles to East Main, and is located on a portion of property with stark elevation changes, making for some sustained climbing, as well as some fast descents.

Great to hear and thanks for all the hard work out there.  I have always found it a  really enjoyable loop, not least because fewer people seem be on it than the other trails in the park.  Was there on Saturday and missed the new stuff.  Must not have been paying attention.

It's on the other side of the service road right before you start heading back to cross the road again.  I saw it, but wasn't sure it led to anything so I skipped it.

Just finished riding it for the first time.  A nice addition.  With a few burms on the downhill corners it would be fantastic.

great addition, worthy of its own name. canyon creek maybe?

I especially like how there were quite a few advanced options. Good climbs, well designed.

Great new addition to that section of the trail. The new machine cut sections are built very well and should stay in that condition for years to come.

No berms are needed on the downhill parts; there are already plenty of places that riders don't have to think for them to make it around a turn. I do think that at some point there will be the need for additional benching in a few spot on a couple of the downhill turns.
Some are even now just slightly off camber, which makes them great. But they will get to be more out of kilter in the future, which could ruin the flow.

All in all great work out there.

Definately loving the new East main section. It is tough especially when you haven't been riding all winter.

Is the new addition easy to find? Any signage? Going to try it out today before the rain hits!

Just ride the old east main loop.  After you cross the service road you ride for a few minutes, there will be a trail that forks.  The original trail turns right.  The new trail is left.  You can tell the new trail because its still a little damp and darker than the old stuff.  Be ready for some climbing.  It's seems to criss-cross every hill in that valley.

Once you cross the road a few hundred yards in you will see the trail on your left.  No signage, but not hard to find......
