Another day another berm.  Please respect the track, we've covered it in logs so it's pretty obvious that you shouldn't ride it.  

The force is strong with this project, I'm really excited about how it's going to turn out.  We've got a tight local crew that are killer dirt artists.  Our fearless leader and club commander in chief came out last night (Doc00t), thanks for the support!

I think I know what you are talking about and yes, as of right now both options for entering the creek crossing are available.  We may look at improving the less used line at some point in the future because it does line you up much better for the crossing and it isn't eroded yet.

Lets try to keep this thread on the pump track topic though if we can.

Work this evening on the pump track, 6pm till dark, shouldn't be too hot!  Again bring a 5 gallon bucket, a watering can, shovel or favorite packing device it you've got one.  Water and other tools will be onsite.

We're working Friday morning as well, time TBD.

More has been added since Pics, but this is the most recent that I have.

!Construction UPDATE!  The track is ALMOST done!  Depending on what kind of weather we get tomorrow and Friday the bulk of construction should be done on Friday.  Please don't ride on the track if it is wet!  The drainage structures are not yet complete and if it rains the riding surface will be wet.   

The grand opening for the track will be at the Huntersville Parks and Rec 20th anniversary celebration on Saturday July 11th.  The event runs from 6-9pm and will have food trucks  there for dinner.  The premise of the event is to have 20 different sports represented so folks can get introduced to something in the park that they may not have known existed.  See link for details (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)   

We will have a group of Trailblazers at the pump track during the event to help spread the word about our club.  If you would like to volunteer to man the track during the event on July 11th then PM me!

I also need some able bodied packers and potentially another wheelbarrow or two this Friday morning (tomorrow) at 10:30am.  PM me with your name and phone number if you can come.

Track is now complete to where you can ride the whole thing, opening day is still Sat July 11th.  Tweaking needs to be done but lets just say it's fast and it flows!  We have to fix a major drainage issue next week so if it rains at all the track will hold water.  Please respect it!  I'll post some pics on the Trailblazers facebook page

Yes, the track will be in varying states of of construction this week in preparation for the town of Huntersville's event on July 11th.  Workdays are tentatively Monday and Thursday after work this week if anyone wants to come help.  We will be installing drainage structures and resurfacing three  of the Berms with good dirt this week.
