Question - Trek Superfly

The past few weeks I've been seeing a lot of Trek Superflys on the local trails. When I checked out the specs I see that it has 100mm up front. I'm sure with 29in wheels that's more than enough for everything local but what about Pisgah and Dupont?

I ask because I'm looking to upgrade in the next year or so. I have 120mm on my Fuel Ex 8 and don't think I've ever bottomed it out. Are the Superflys out performing the EXs now? Can they take a 120?

Thanks.

I have a 2012, but I don't think the aluminum models have changed that much.  It's a stable, fast bike, but I've been looking at Fuels, especially the new EX9 with 130mm for my next bike.  When I bought this one, it felt like you were giving up a lot of pedaling efficiency to move up to the 120mm Rumblefish. But having ridden several new bikes in the 120-140mm travel range, I don't think that's the case any more.  I wouldn't recommend moving to a Superfly and giving up that capability unless you purely want XC.
