For the amount I ride, I really don't have the energy or desire to clean the pack out each ride.  4-6 times per week would get annoying.  But I'm also lazy in that regard.

Yeah; probably shouldn't admit to this but I don't clean mine much (or any?) as it is always getting fresh water... and I don't ride quite as much as SycoCell.  I do have 2 packs so if I don't alternate them I will rinse the one not getting used out at least once a week.

Nevermind, everything I just said is hogwash as I forgot mine is a Hydrapack and not a camelbak.  Carry on Smiley

for those of you who throw their reservoir in the freezer/fridge and have never cleaned the tube, buy one of these and let me know how much residue comes out:

I, too, use dentures cleaning tablets and believe they are Efferdent brand.  I bought a big box for so much less than the Camelbak tablets I used early on.  I use two tor a 3L bladder, fill with faucet warm water, and leave it to lay on the kitchen counter filled for a while.  I flip it at some point so that everything soaks.  I then empty this solution through the hose and bite valve and then fill with water and empty again.  There is no lingering taste or mildew anymore.  I also eventually changed to water-only and keep the bladder and hose in the fridge empty or not.
