Who ever is painting the Arrows at Sherman, PLEASE STOP.

I saw a car leaving with a USNWC sticker on the back window. It must have been someone who works for them since last time I was at Catawba there were arrows also painted on the ground.

So everyone knows I was just joking about a car with a USNWC sticker but not about arrows painted on the ground at Catawba.

It took me a minute until I realized that most of us probably have a USNWC sticker on our car.

The arrows at USNWC were painted by an outside race promoter who puts on the XTERRA Trail Run (not to be confused with the XTERRA Whitewater Triathalon, which is put on by USNWC).  The offending party has been duly chastised by myself and others who are displeased with that method of course marking.  We can only hope those things wear off soon.

Did not know there was going to be a race at Sherman Br.  But, if not, what is the point of going to the trouble of painting arrows?

They are on the wood structure on main and on a couple of the rock features on the Lake loop. I couldn't figure them out the first time I saw them. It's not like they are really useful for anything. The line is obvious on every loop out at Sherman.

On the wood, buy some graffiti remover at HD/Lowes. Then sand it clean with a random orbital sander.

If you don't have the sander, let me know.

On the rock, use a propane torch and a wire brush.
