WOW???  REALLY?  I've been to the gates several times 4-5 times @ 8am and it's still not even open on the weekends?  It's a drive/hike out for me so instead of waiting I just turn tail and head to fisher/north meck every time that has happened.  It's enough that I have no faith for it to open @ 8am and if it does I just consider myself having a lucky day.

Yeah, me too.  Just as soon as I find myself awake before 6:30 in the morning.  I'm all about some waking up really early!!

Would you guys expect the park to be open tomorrow @ 6:30-7am?  If the trails dry up that is... not sure how much rain LKNSP got... but that would be awesome.... I would bet though that it doesn't happen.  I've been there also past 36hours after rain and gotten there @ 8am expecting the trails to open after being closed for almost 2 days...  gates didn't open til 8:30am... followed park officer in and they said trails were closed and they couldn't tell me when it would open (even though it was clearly dried up).  Ended up heading down to fisher and as I got to Fisher they had changed the status on the Trail page.

I might try to make it to this one weekend. Can't this week though. I am an early riser but am also about an hour and a half from LNSP so it would be a seriously early morning for me.

Plus

I don’t like beer.

I don’t have kids.

I don’t do yard work.

I don’t like football.

I don’t like spiders.

August is almost over.

You know. Just saying.  Wink

Yes but a nice IPA is a must when I return home to wash my bike! You should join us Mike. We can make mental notes of needed trail work along the way! I do plan on joining you for trail work.

I'll try to join you Sunday if the park is open. I have a lot going on right now, but will try.
BTW, I don't like beer also, like Emily stated before.
