What time does Sherman usually open?

I'm thinking about taking my first trip ever over to Sherman in the morning and was wondering what time the trail usually opens.  I've driven by several times, but have never been on the trail itself.  I'd like to get there as early as possible to get a ride in before work and I saw on the Trail page on this site that it opens at 7:30.  Can anyone confirm if this time is still correct or if it may open earlier?  Thanks.... looking forward to it no matter what time it opens.

The gate has been left open a lot lately since the trail has rarely closed but I don't know if that's been the case very day.  Sorry I know that's not much help.

According to the homepage its open.  I rode it Sunday morning and it was mostly dry.

It's open. Rode there last night, only a couple of damp spots at the usual spots on the lake loop. Watch out for the huge tree down on the main loop right before the short cut at the old log feature. Jerry and crew do an awesome job out there keeping the drains clean and the trail prepped.

Just to put the thread back on topic, does anyone know what time in the mornings that the gate to Sherman is usually open… if it’s locked from the night before?

I would recommend you send an e-mail to the entity that actually owns / governs the park, not just those that may happen to have a set of keys to the front gate.

Yes that information is correct. Sometimes it gets opened a little  earlier , but 7:30 is a safe bet and It is always closed at night.

Feel free to send out some emails like  Robert C. said, but if the gate gets open, 99.9% of the time it is done by Me or another volunteer and has been that way for 6 years now.
