any opinions one way or the other?

I need to upgrade my old Hydrapack and I'm very interested in the Osprey Synchro 10 but might also consider a MULE.  Looking for feedback on either or both.

I hate camelbacks lid for the bladder.  I have a hard time getting it on without leaking.  I end up putting it on and squeezing the bladder to see if it leaks a couple of times before I get mine on right.

I like my hydropak bladder.

I like my hydropack bladder (other than having to use binder clips to keep it closed...broke the slide), but the pack itself is too small as I venture into longer rides and day trips.  Going to pass that pack down to one of my kids.

I think I'm leaning towards the Osprey Raptor 10 now.  I like the pockets on the side straps and the handle on bladder design seems to lend to easy filling and good distribution without turning into a hot dog when full.

That Deuter Compact Air 10 isn't bad looking either.

Love my osprey raptor 14. tool roll is the bomb. Great storage. Carries comfortably without shifting. My only complaint is that you have to be very careful not to cross-thread the lid or it will leak.

I've ridden with a Camelbak M.U.L.E. for the past 5 years and it's held up like a champ. Never had to replace the bladder or valve and it doesn't leak. That being said...

I know a few people who ride with the Osprey Raptors and they speak very highly of them. I hear the bladders for the Osprey's are better because the weight/water doesn't shift around during the ride. Quite a few threads online if you wanted to google comparisons.

To be honest, next time I'll probably go with an Osprey.

I have a MULE  for longer rides and an Osprey Viper 7 for everyday riding. While the MULE is a solid pack, I really like the features and the stability of the Osprey. When it comes time to replace the MULE, I'm getting a Raptor 10. +1 on the Osprey bladder.

Thanks for the input all.

I've done quite a bit of digging but haven't found too many direct comparisons but looking at the reviews and videos and such on each one individually, I believe I'm officially sold on the Osprey Raptor 10.

I know the MULE is still a highly regarded pack and I'm sure I wouldn't go wrong with either, but I think the Raptor has a few things going for it that I really like above the CamelBak.

The only downside I can find is that the tube does not detach from the bladder but that's manageable.
