I am looking for someone to repair some early 2000's Pioneer Elite equipment. All pieces have an issue with the circuit board/power on off button. Prefering to do some trade but need to get this stuff fixed. Please send an email to [email protected] if this is something you are qualified for.

We got our Jolida at the shop as well as my McIntosh repaired at Advanced Repair in Gastonia. They kinda suck with communication and turn around but both are still rockin'.

had a $900 sony flat screen that was 4 yrs old.  it blew some board and would not stay on.  it would randomly reboot itself.

researched the part and found it was a fairly common problem that could be fixed for approx $400 retail...granted i could ave probably sourced the part for a couple hundred and did it myself.... but a brand new sharp was $299.
sad that $hit isn't repairable any longer.

Unfortunately, you are correct. TV's are rarely worthwhile to fix unless you can find the parts cheap and DIY. I've replaced a power board and capacitor in different flat panels.

Bart, I used to work at Magnolia so I know a bit about home theater. Assuming this is a surround receiver... If your Elite is early 2000's you probably don't have HDMI, limited digital connections, maybe 7.1, basic Faroudja upconversion, limited to 720p if running any video, no newer digital audio decoding. The biggest selling point of your receiver compared to today's receivers is the quality amps. I would seriously look at some Onkyo receivers if you don't want to buy a new Elite. An Onkyo will offer countless feature upgrades, technological upgrades, one tier down in amps but still better than most you'll find in big boxes, excellent bang for the buck, more user friendly than your Elite, and Woot has had some excellent deals lately like the TXNR838 for $599.
