Some of it is but I think it's more he's anti blowing the leaves and that bias show through.  I'm sure I'm doing some of the same thing. :/

It really depends on the geography and soil geology of the trail. 

I've been observing the seasonal cycles at Fisher since 2004 and sometimes are just a good time to stay off the trail.  Red clay is great when it's dry but sucks when it's wet. Tongue



And that is what most miss, there are many variables to take into account.
Each trail and sections of the trail need to be evaluated, I don't think you could come up with one rule that applies to all.

Government has no reason to use common sense or be efficient as it pays no price for failure.
