A little soft and plenty of leaf cover, but pretty dry actually.

Make sure you ride the Kid loop for a warm-up (on Strava someone has the segment listed as Kid's Loop or "Tarheel Trailblazers Training Loop")...

Poston is always in good shape.  They don't seem to care about tire tracks in the pathway over there.

It won't be the last - I've gotten contact highs at Renni a few times. Whoever it was was probably getting ready for the gap jump on the Spencer Mountain Loop. Does anybody actually take that? I want video.

Every time.. it's not that tricky.. unless it's wet. The creek gap is a little scarier as you have to land between the trees.. not as much room for error. Both are well built jumps though

there's a group ride at Poston tonight starting at Lake Loop parking lot trailhead starting around 5:45p.

it's usually a Tuesday thing, but was pushed back this week to today since the steady rain wouldn't have been as much fun to ride in.

It amazes me how simple the jumps look when you watch someone do it on youtube... But then you get out there and you're like...  Shocked

I meant the first jump in the first video btw - looks nasty in person. I've seen the creek jump done before and yeah, the landing (and the jump) are all sorts of sketch.
