RRT to open Wed 11/11

Just to give a heads up. Both bypasses will need to be taken as bridges on the first section were still below water this afternoon. The River View option is fine. The worst looking part is the parking area entrance and field due to drainage. Also field drainage at the entrance by the kiosk. If you want to skip the entrance ride on up and take the right like everyone used to. Tread seems firm so overall we'll see how it goes.

Do what you like. Stop hating people for their riding habits and get back to hating them for their skin color, religion, politics, and sexual orientation.

The entrance trail section about 3/4 way thru there is a twisty section of pines making a right there is a red clay section that had chronic freeze thaw drainage issues in winter. I bridged it on Friday.

I have been told that the 2nd section that can be bypassed due to flooding is good. Also several have commented that the 1st like wise section is fair but you may want to continue using that bypass.

Otherwise balance of trail is good.

There is a new way of bailing out to the parking area if need to cut short it's located about halfway thru the No Name Ext loop. It was an easy place to join the tail end of the green loop. It is signed.

I know that leaves can make it hard especially for some one not familiar with the trail but I'm wanting to hold off till Thanksgiving week in hopes of not doing it but once. I may hit the climbs and Ski Run earlier.

Yeah, someone last track of that buck.  Looked like it was just shot recently when I passed it.  It's about half way up the river climb.  Didn't see anyone hunting back there though.

I heard several different shots this morning on the adjacent property looks like they lost one. Shame for an animal to die and be wasted. Thanks for the information we moved it well on over to the other property. Hope the smell stays away. No one has permission to hunt our property since we opened the bike trail.

How is the new bridge on the entrance section?

The new bridge will sure take care of that soft spot and rides just fine.
The deer is maybe less than ⅛ of a mile below, or before as you climb the river climb, the old camper shell.

"my legs were twitching."
RRT has the same effect on me...especially if too much time elapses between visits!

Trail was in great shape this afternoon.  Saw Steve out blowing.  Too bad the rain is coming tonight.

Trail is good now about half has been blown within last week. Use the wet bypasses for a few more days. By Sunday may be closed again depending on weather. Not expecting any rain though.

There were quite a few people riding on Saturday perhaps some of them can post what they saw. It should be fine there was a light sprinkle after dark Saturday. One of my sons rode 2 laps and a piece to get his 3 hours in. I expect the bypasses still be better taken. I was busy cutting and splitting firewood.

The trail was in good shape when I rode out there yesterday.  I did take the bypass options, so I'm not sure how that part of the trail is.  Everything was in good shape.

My brother and myself added a bike stand to the left side of the kiosk today. It'll give a place to put your bike while signing the waiver without having to lay it on the ground. We used an idea that was put forth by a steady rider of RRT, she suggested it several months back.

Also there is a hydration pack hanging in the change room and has been there for a couple months. I thought the owner would know the last place they had it and just pick it up.
