Leaves vs. No Leaves?

This is a genuine question and not an attempt to start something up in here! What is the rationale for clearing leaves versus not? As a rider it seems better that if the amount of traffic on the trail does not help take care of the leaves that clearing them helps with drainage and riders can at least see the trail. Are most local TTB trails cleared?

Bottom line:   If you blow leaves off the trail, you must replace them with fresh pine straw!
