DREAM for White Water Center

There are a lot of, large, big ticket items going in at White Water Center this winter.....

My dream would be for them to build the largest pump track in the country. Seems like if you can build a Velo Solutions pumptrack, the expense would still be half the price of a deep water solo climbing facility?

This area desperately needs a place like this.

Imagine big sweet pumptracks, it's easy if you try
Fully paved and sealed, no more more muddy rides

Imagine all the people shredding bikes all year...

Some may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope some day you will join us
And the bikers can shred as one

Heck yea!  I would have a field day on a razor scooter riding that pump track  Wink  I've got no shame, razor scooter's were awesome when I was a kid.

I can't believe they still haven't put in a "splash pad" or something involving water for little kids to cool off during the summer months.  I remember seeing quite a few kids (mine included) when temps were hot looking like they were about to pass out.  Seems like it would be a nice addition for anyone unable to raft.

I definitely agree with that 100% as well!

Anything more my little ones could do while I ride or my wife trail runs would be a big plus. Right now its pretty much just climb on the rocks directly under the sun!

or while I sit and drink beer, after a ride or course.

Imagine riding down the steep dirt road from the Slalom course or down the dirt road back to the lot and hitting one of these big jumps (ride-a-rounds for our little ones, of course).

Redbull came to the Farm in Brevard a couple of years ago.  Imagine WWC teaming up with Redbull and hosting a freeride competition FEST.

I'd settle for just extending the Tower 93 jumpline and putting some big table tops at the end of that line for a longer and better jumpline.  After you finish that line, you have so much empty space that could so easily be developed into some bigger jumps.  Sure wish WWC had folks willing to build at least a few more and bigger jumps.

It is really a shame that a place like WWC with so many resources doesn't have more developed jumplines, which is what Charlotte really needs.  Thank goodness some are in the works at BYT!

I just got the ok this week to get the container onsite to keep the machines in. Free this takes longer than you might think having to work with all these other people to make sure all is in place. Should be getting container onsite hopefully this week. Kind of hard to get all this done while working 10 hour shifts and living 45 min away. Was looking at old jump line yesterday and the dirt it needs also. Going to stick a small step up between cannons and 2 more jumps on that jump line. We will also have a place to put jumps in where the parking lot is going in. I am going to try and get dirt from greenway construction to help withsome of these projects. There will be lots and lots of dirt moving this winter. I have pm you my phone number and offered to show you where but have heard anything back from you. Before or while all this jump building is going on we still have to reroute the trails while greenway is getting worked on and will be using machines for that also.

Yes of course Wink  I filled out a feedback form with this as a suggestion.  May not go anywhere but if enough people express interest who knows?  I also recommended at minimum some portable misting stations in the summer months.  It's just odd being surrounded by water and feeling like you are going to die from the heat.  I can grab a beer and be ok, but my kids have asked to "leave early" on many occasions because it's just too hot!
