A buddy of mine met him once at Mt. Creek in NJ (used to be known as Diablo), had a beer with him and said he was the coolest guy ever.  Even though Peat was and is a celebrity in the mountain bike world, he is just a regular guy who likes his rides fast and his beers cold. Raise a glass to a legend!

I meet Steve at Snowshoe a few years back and you are right, he is a real nice guy. The wet trail didn't even slow him down a bit! Congrads Steve!
