My son (13) is a mountain bike fanatic. We purchased him a Trek 29-we last year and he's outgrown it for more trails, lots of jumps and aggressive riding. Looking for a quality, cared for bike with dual-suspension. $600 - $1400 budget - he's been working and saving. It's his money. Anyone looking to quickly move a bike? 

He's 5'4" and growing.

I have a Titus RacerX carbo seatstay, carbon bars. DT swiss hubs. XT drive train, XT brakes. Fox float, Fox RP23... it's a 26. Looking to get 1000, but will consider offers.

Is it more of a XC bike? He's really doing short downhill, and hard jumps. (I'm less knowledgable than he, so apologies for not being as plugged into the sport!)

I have a great option.

2010 Trek Remedy 17.5inch frame (the smaller of the two medium sizes that year)  26er.  I purchased new from Bicycle Sport in late 2010.

150 mm travel-   DCRV RP2 Fox rear shock,   Fox Float 32 Float
15mm QR front; 135 qr rear (convertible to 142/12).

SRAM X9 rear derailleur 

Bontrager Select front hub, M525-L rear hub; Bontrager Duster rims, tubeless with Bontrager tubeless kit.  Holds air forever.

Upgrades:

1x10  34 tooth e-thirteen ring   MRP Chainguide.

Avid Elixir 5 hydraulic disc brakes

RaceFace Next SL Carbon Bar

Thompson seatpost.  I posted in October.  $750.
