Renaissance Park Short track work day

All hands on deck. This Sunday the 10th at 9am we are organizing a big work day for the upcoming Winter Short Track series. 
Parks and Rec is delivering a couple loads of crush-n-run for the course plus we are going to reshape a few of the berms and fix the creek crossing. 
Tools will be available but you are welcome to bring your own as well.

Meet at the recycle bins on the athletic field side and don't forget your bike to do a few test laps when everything is finished.

Just so everyone knows we are still a go for tomorrow morning at the Short Track. Don't forget to bring your bike to test out the improvements.

Thanks to everyone who came out with a shovel in their hand today. The improvements to the trail should make everyone happy. We expect there will be a lot of fast lap times this year.

I regret not being able to make it yesterday (Sunday). 

Was out on the two recent, prior work days and, by comparison, you all made huge gains!

Thanks for the effort. 

Rode there this morning and it is great! 

Nice to have the creek crossing repaired back to last year's standard. Maybe someday we can create a solution there that allows for more water flow when it comes.

If anyone with kids 13 and under rides shortrack can you let me know your impressions? Specifically two features we rebuilt are the small kicker halfway and the small step up down near the bottom (not the rock garden). Neither option has a ride around now but both are rollable. Just want to ensure we weren't too aggressive by not providing an easy ride around for the kids race.
