we are all on this board, we all need to look out for the trails. If we something not right then we should address the situation before it get's out of control. It is easy to forget a inertube that you changed or a empty can of Red Bull out there and I understand that but to do it time and again means you have no respect for the trail nor the trail workers. The TTB has a strict rule on leaving trash and respect for the trail. If you think other wise then I suggest you go ride the greenway or road.  Just Sayin'.

You hit the nail on the head!! Every time I go do trail work, I have to take a trash bag with me to pick up after all the inconsiderate people riding our trail system. I think people think the earth is their trash can. It's an outrage!

Usually what I pick see and pick up at Fisher, N Meck, LNSP and Uwharrie are the plastic convenience store bottles, monster energy cans and food wrappers. After a race its goo and gel trash. Occasionally there's a water bottle that has popped out of a cage.
That tells me who the offenders are; probably not the folks reading this.

I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you are not accusing me of not looking out for trails. Like Mike, I pick up other people's trash all the time. My backpack is full of everything from Gu packs to PBR cans. I have pulled tires and grocery carts out of the creek at SWDP. Last month someone dumped the contents of of a raided medicine cabinet and I picked that up as well.

I was saying the people who care enough to engage on this board are probably not the same people dumping... maybe I'm wrong.

I have to be honest.

Slayemf's first post was perhaps the only one I have ever been able to read through in it's
entirety but then his response left me once again slightly baffled.

I do have to agree with him that people who knowingly leave trash on the trail or anywhere for that matter suck ass.

Ima be honest - I usually assume that the trash is coming from trail hikers and dog walkers and teenagers looking for a place to find a little trouble at night. But I tend to see bottles and wrappers and coke cans so... I tend to doubt mtbers are the source - who has time to litter out there? I do occasionally ride out with more than I rode in with though.

And I can vouch for Abruzzopat - that man puts in a lot of time on the trail.

I am surprised at the number of mylar birthday party balloons that I run across at RRT. I imagine trails located on or near parks have a lot more.

No I was not in anyway accusing you, I know you feel the same way...As for understanding my post's, well , my mind thinks to fast as to catch up with my fingers. Sorry if any of you think I am a bit off the rocker but you know what I am. I have a passion on two wheels and I think things a bit much , too much too fast and no, I am not on drugs or anything like that. I just feel the need to spread the word of riding a bike . I have not been out for awhile on the trails so I really have no say but when I get calls or read a e-mail about BYT it bothers me. I worked hard out there for you all to have a little different ride. Worker Rider and I have worked a lot out there this summer and I will continue to try and get out there to do more work. If I have clean up the trash then I will.  I just ask that some help out, no matter what trail it is. BYT is now my Poplar Tent and God knows like you I miss the hell out of that place. It formed my riding style on how to fall and take hits to the ribs, the head and any other body part . A lot of sweat and tears went into that place through the years for me an I plan on doing more work out there with Kronic and Hubbs and PawCunningham , some one who's passion just about equals mine. The next generation of riders are here and they want to have fun like we do . Off the subject I know but once again I am Just Sayin'. RAMFB....

Where's this new jump line at BYT? Different line than regular jumpline, new site?  Please do post up work days.  (Or how do I find his Paul's FB page?)

The new jump line looks very promising, great work out there Josh and Paw. Can't wait to try it out when it's ready for some crash test dummies.
