Looking for a new bike - a little help?

I'd like to check out / test ride the bikes on the following list. If you know of a shop (or are a shop) that has any of these please let me know.

1. Niner Jet 9
2. Trek Fuel EX 8 29
3. Santa Cruz Tallboy LT
4. Transition Smuggler
5. Specialized Camber Comp or Stumpjumper FSR Comp 29
6. Salsa Horsethief

I ride a 19.5 in Trek and am guessing I'd need a "large" for any of the others. I'm sticking with alloy (the price bump for carbon doesn't seem worth the comparatively little weight saving for me).

Thanks!

We have a large Smuggler, Large Camber Comp 29er and Large SJ FSR 650b demo in stock...when it ever dries out. Tongue  If you go SJ Comp I'd recommend the 650b over the 29er for around here.  The 29er wheel base is pretty long and makes the bike a bit sluggish.  Camber Comp 29 is 120mm of full suspension trail goodness!

So Mark, are you a fan of the 650B over 29ers sluggish feel? Kind of funny as I'm getting curious about short chain stay 29er enduro rides. Looking forward to going for a demo on a new Stumpy 650B to see how it handles compared to my Genius. (Shameless plug).
BTW Fisher is looking great. Thx!

For anything 120mm or less travel I prefer the 29'er.  Anything over, I prefer the 650b.  To me the 29er wheel feels right for shorter travel bikes but feels sluggish on longer travel bikes.  The Enduro 29'er has super short CC's but it's till better eating up trail than throwing it around.

Thanks!

I had a carbon hardtail Stumpjumper and a Tallboy LT.  I added a Jet 9 RDO and sold the other two bikes.  The Jet 9 RDO is a great, do it all bike.  I've got it with 120mm up front and a 2x10 setup and it comes in at <25lbs.  I'm not sure of another bike on the market I'd consider, except maybe the new Pivot 429SL/Trail.
