I'm at Snowshoe skiing, but can't wait till May when the DH trails open. I'll be moving up here at the end of the month and hope to get a job working on the trails here. You'll have to come up and see me and do some riding.

I may just take you up on that sir!

Ahh...windowpane.  It certainly puts one in a very peculiar frame of mind!

I was going to come in here and say no way poston has the most elevation gain, however after looking back through my rides you might be correct.  Am I the only one who feels like it doesn't really have any big hill climbs - and I'm saying that as a complement...  Factoring in the elevation gain with the little amount of lung buster hills means Poston is actually pretty flowy; you're just riding slightly uphill most the time!

The end of the second and beginning of the third loop at Poston (Big leaf??) have some lung busters, up along the stream, and then up a decent sized ridge. But it's all downhill on the way back!

RRT is a close second.

I dunno...seems to me that RRT has more elevation gain than Poston & not only b/c it's 3.5 mi longer.  I still, to this day, can't clear No Name or Stairway w/out having to walk.  Although, if I lived closer to RRT I would ride it more often than once every 2 months!

I agree with DavidM that to me Poston doesnt feel like it has more elevation than RRT.  I think it's b/c RRT is more elevation at a time and poston is just constant elevation.

The worst climb at Poston IMO is the new sasquatch on spencer mountain... but it still has nothing on RRT's big 3 IMO.

Stairway has gotten a lot easier for me, but I still have to shift into the 36 on my 1x10 on Gorge / No name.
