The age old.....DIRT BIKES AT BEATTY topic!

This afternoon I had just driven NE past the entrance to Beatty and as I came up on Socrates Academy I saw two fat punk 12-14 year old kids turn from Simfield Church Road on Dirt bikes and head the opposite way towards the Beatty entrance.

About 45 mins later after leaving Harris Teeter we were coming the opposite way and as we passed the entrance to Beatty  I saw the two punks pull out of the park.  I gave them my best old man Fist shake and honked my horn...and swear I  could almost see them smiling though their full faced helmets at me.  I was about to make a U-turn and follow them home but my Wife wouldn't let me.

So...... they had about 45 rip roaring minutes of tearing the trail up and having a good ole time!
This was about 5:30...broad daylight!
Fargin bastichs!

I saw one of them riding down the main road into the park when I was leaving Saturday, but it looked like the bike was way too small for him to trail ride on (meaning it looked almost like a mini-bike under this butterball). I figured he was just riding it like a mini-bike down the roads and parking lot (maybe the edges of the fields). Beatty was pretty packed on Saturday - it'd be pretty ballsy of them to try the trails with all that foot/bike traffic.

Are you sure he was on the trails?

I saw them leaving the park at that time.  I had just rode two laps and there were no signs they'd been on the trails.

I was riding Wednesday afternoon and heard/saw a four wheeler ride down the entrance road and back out to the main road....not on any trails though!

Saw one dirt bike on the trail near the 2 mile marker as I was driving in on the entrance road... never met him while riding the trail though.  As I was leaving, saw two tubby kids riding out on the entrance road.  Wasn't sure who to call... doubt CMPD could do anything except try and wait them out.

Yes, if you see a motorized bike on the trails, call CMPD. In addition to the damage to the trail, it's really not safe with all the traffic Beatty sees daily.

David and I were out there today with P&R when the two kids rode by. It looks like they've been mostly riding the field behind the soccer fields. Anyways, they've been warned by P&R. I'll hold my breath about not seeing them any more.
